Course Description: This accredited course is designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills and confidence to participate in first aid treatment at an advanced level prior to the arrival at scene of emergency services. This training is suitable for individuals, companies and organizations. It will provide participants with the knowledge, skills and confidence to perform the specific requirements of Advanced First Aid

Objectives: To perform first aid in a safe, correct and efficient manner in any situation.

• Advanced Resuscitation techniques
• Administration of medication
• Management of bleeding and wounds
• Procedures for managing multiple injuries and multiple casualties

• Infection control principles and procedures,
• Legal responsibilities and duty of care
• Health and safety in the provision of first aid

Assessment: Assessment will be performed progressively throughout the course using demonstrations of practical skills, scenario’s and short answer theory questions.
