Course Description: This training course deals with providing basic first aid which on top of CPR and AED skills also deals with managing an emergency situation while waiting for medical assistance

Objectives: To provide emergency first aid at a life threatening incident. Tailored to suit the clients workplace.

• Care of an unconscious patient
• Perform – CPR
• Defibrillation
• Choking
• Hygiene
• OHS Legislation
• Outlines: Chest Pain, Burns, Fracture, Asthma, Epilepsy, Diabetes, Soft Tissue, Bites, Poisoning, Hypo/Hyperthermia.

Assessment: Assessment will be performed progressively throughout the course using demonstrations of practical skills, scenario’s and short answer theory questions.
