Course Description: First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis is a short course designed to develop skills and knowledge to provide first aid management of anaphylaxis particularly in the education and care setting.

Course Content:

Identify and manage allergies

Understand the causes and recognise anaphylaxis

Manage anaphylaxis by raising awareness and implementing preventative strategies

Implement risk minimisation strategies and management plans for at risk individuals

Administration of an Adrenaline Auto-Injector

Pre-requisites: Not applicable

Assessment: Assessment will be performed progressively throughout the course using demonstrations of practical skills, scenario’s and short answer theory questions.
